Patrick has been a certified mediator for 12 years. As an advocate for both Plaintiffs and Defendants, Patrick is uniquely positioned to understand the legal positions and the emotional concerns of all Parties during the mediation process. Mediation, like litigation, is about the personal relationship. Although the mediator is considered a “neutral” it is imperative that the mediator garner the trust of the Parties and their respective advocates. This trust is established by preparation, understanding of the legal issues, credibility and the ability to treat the Parties and their Advocated with the professionalism and decency they deserve in their pursuit of justice.
Patrick has mediated well over 300 pending lawsuits, the majority for individuals and companies in The Woodlands, Houston, Conroe, Magnolia and Montgomery and primarily involves personal injury lawsuits, business transaction disputes, property issues and employment claims. Patrick’s success rate in resolving cases during mediation exceeds 90%. In light of the foregoing, Mr. Primavera continues to be selected by colleagues or appointed by Courts as a mediator on a regular basis in both personal injury and commercial lawsuits.
Mediation works because it allows the Parties to determine the outcome and decide whether they want to resolve their dispute or let the judge or jury make that ultimate decision. As a trial lawyer Patrick fully understands these outcomes and the risks involved and his objective is to bring clarity to the potential outcomes in order for the Parties to ultimately reach an agreement that is equitable for all involved.
